📖 Usage Guide

Qibla Camera is a free web tool that overlays an arrow on your live camera feed to point toward the Kaaba. It uses augmented reality (AR) so you see the direction directly on the view your rear camera captures.

The tool uses GPS, the compass, and gyroscope on your device to compute the great-circle bearing toward Mecca. Local magnetic declination is applied so the result is relative to true north — but final accuracy depends on your device sensors and environment.

For best results, calibrate the compass with a figure-8 motion for a few seconds and stay away from metal objects and electronics. A visible badge switches to "Approximate" when the browser cannot supply an absolute heading.

Qibla Camera works on modern iOS 13+ and Android devices with a gyroscope/compass, on Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge, and Samsung Internet. The interface is available in Arabic, English, Turkish, Indonesian, and French.

Your settings are stored only locally in your browser and never sent to a server. You can opt out of saving your location or clear a saved location at any time from inside the tool.
