🥇 Gold Calculator
Calculate gold value by weight, purity, and price
📖 Usage Guide
Our Gold Calculator converts weight between grams, ounces, and kilograms and calculates value based on current gold price per gram. Enter the gold purity (24K, 22K, 21K, 18K, 14K) to get accurate value. Perfect for investors, jewelers, and anyone buying or selling gold.
Example: 50 grams of 22K gold at $70/gram. Pure gold weight = 50 × 0.917 = 45.85g. Value = 45.85 × $70 = $3,209. Same 50g in 18K: pure weight = 37.5g, value = $2,625. Purity dramatically affects value — always verify before buying.
Gold is measured in troy ounces (31.1035g), not standard ounces (28.3495g). 1 kg of gold = 32.15 troy oz. At $2,000/oz, 1 kg = $64,300. Standard gold bar sizes: 1g, 5g, 10g, 20g, 1oz (31.1g), 100g, 1kg, 400oz (good delivery bar = ~$800K).
Gold has been a store of value for 5,000+ years. Central banks hold 35,000+ tons of gold. The US holds the most: 8,133 tons. Gold is finite — only ~200,000 tons ever mined, ~3,000 tons mined annually. This scarcity underpins its value.

Gold price today + purity + weight = value. Simple math, but premiums and dealer spreads change the actual transaction price. Use our calculator for raw value, then add 1-3% for typical dealer premium when buying.
